About the Author

Harry Arundel Ward was born and raised in Casper, Wyoming, the son of Margaret Arundel and William Ward. In Casper he attended McKinley School, St. Anthony School, and NCHS. He studied mathematics at Loyola University in Chicago.

In the summer of 1934, the summer between McKinley and St. Anthony Schools, he traveled with his mother to Ireland. There he was blessed with a deep love of Ireland and its people. This love flowered over many years into a love of Ireland's literature and music.

He served as adjunct faculty in mathematics and computer science at several colleges near Chicago. He has been programming computers since 1957. He developed the program for the computerized version of this book.
